Vallin, who likes being called the Tampere’s Trump and boasts about how he places his money in Estonia from the Finnish tax person, bases his political program on hatred for asylum seekers, especially Muslims.

The PS is the only party in parliament that labels migrants as “harmful.”

Vallin is the last person you should listen to concerning ethnic relations.

He Tweets:

“The difference between harmful and beneficial migration? Harmful migration is a drain on the public sector, while beneficial migration generates tax revenues. Among others, beneficial migrants find employment as gardeners.”

What is wrong with this tweet?

It is racist because it generalizes and debates migration as a simple, 1 + 1 = 2 phenomenon.

If Vallin had the power to decide who enters Finland, his style would be a bit like the Jews that were loaded off train box cars at concentration camps like Auschwitz. Those who could be used for labor and exploited would not be sent to the gas chambers.

Old people, the sick, women, and children would be escorted to the gas chambers.

Vallin’s tweet, like that of his party, reveals a rude threat and fact: minorities will never obtain equity in Finland but will be seen as “harmful” or “damaging.”

What an insult to not only migrants and minorities but the values of Finland’s welfare state.

Such an affirmation also exposes an overwhelming amount of hypocrisy. How can you claim to defend our values if you believe that other groups in society cannot share such rights?

Let’s hope that we see fewer MPs in the 2023 parliamentary election that embrace his toxic views.
