Comment: Here is a bit more about how some Perussuomalaiset like none other than MP James Hirvisaari and his wife have filed a complaint to the Council for Mass Media (JSN), according to Suomenmaa, a Center Party daily. The complaint stems from the usage of the term “persu” by the media, which Hirvisaari claims is being used in a derogatory fashion against the PS.
This complaint follows PS MP Jussi Halla-aho’s decision to boycott Aamulehti because he did not like the pictures that the Tampere-based daily publishes of him.
Halla-aho stated that “cooperation” with Aaamulehti would end as a result. Newsmagazine Suomen Kuvalehti wrote in a column that they did not know that a large daily like Aamulehti had a cooperation agreement with Halla-aho.
As we have mentioned earlier, it is surreal that of all people Hirvisaari is the one trying to tell the media its job. Moreover Hirvisaari and Halla-aho belong to Suomen Sisu, a Nazi-spirited association, according to the Finnish Criminal Police (KRP) and Supo.
Does a member of such a questionable organization can give advice to Finland’s media?
Suomenmaa doesn’t spare the Hirvisaari couple any mercy: “The MPs behavior (to complain to the JSN) is childish and the way censorship enforced in the worst dictatorships.”
___________
Kansanedustaja James Hirvisaaren (ps.) puoliso Merja Hirvisaari on kannellut Julkisen Sanan neuvostoon median suhtautumisesta perussuomalaisiin. Hirvisaaren mielestä tiedotusvälineet yrittivät vaalien alla muokata kansalaisten mielipiteitä perussuomalaisia vastaan. Erityisen törkeänä esimerkkinä hän pitää persu-sanaa, jota hänen mukaansa käytettiin ”halventavana, pilkkaavana ja valheellisena mitätöinnin työkaluna.”
You should wait the PS gets a newspaper of their own and writes about your blog. Come to think of it, I might contribute 😉

You are most welcome, Allan, but being impartial is important. That is why party newspapers don’t carry a lot of weight because their opinion is molded by their political agenda. This blog is not a newspaper so we don’t attempt to write news stories. We have a certain editorial line and we defend it. Others may disagree with it and they are welcome to do so.
““The MPs behavior (to complain to the JSN) is childish and the way censorship enforced in the worst dictatorships.”
This sentece was referring to Halla-Aho’s complaint about Aamulehti’s picture choices, not to Hirvisaari. While there are many good points in the article, this particular sentence itself is quite ridiculous in my opinion. Taking “worst dictatorships” as a reference here puts the whole thing out of proportions and shows bad judgement from the journalist.
I am not so sure it’s so completely over the top, Arto – even if it is employing a bit of journalistic licence. Halla-aho’s ludicrous complaint about the photos Aamulehti uses of him reminds me a lot of the way the Belarussian dictator Lukasjenko behaves. Anyone who takes a photo or film of him that reveals his bald patch from behind is liable to face the sack from their newspaper or TV job.
I think the issue that Halla-Aho is having with the picture is that it has been modified. I don’t know if it is enough to get so angry about, but it makes one wonder why Aamulehti chose to use a modified picture instead of the original, which by the way is better. There is a screen capture of both of these pictures side by side floating around the internet. You can judge for yourself.
You will enjoy it immensely when my article about cryptocommunists working as a fifth column to destroy Finnish economy in favor of Bilderberg-reptilians is quoted in Aamulehti as “the truth about Enrique” .
