Migrant Tales turns six years today

by , under Enrique

Migrant Tales celebrates its sixth year as a blog today. Our blog has grown from a humble voice to one that gets noticed in Finland and abroad.

Our aim is a simple: Migrant Tales is a blog community that debates some of the salient issues facing immigrants and minorities in Finland and elsewhere. It aims to be a voice for those whose views and situation are understood poorly and heard faintly by the media, politicians and public.

Our blog’s existence hinges on challenging intolerance in all shapes and forms in this country and elsewhere.

As long as intolerance is a problem, Migrant Tales will be there.

      Hi Joonas

This editorial question is pending Joonas, but you have received a detailed explanation of the current policy and chose not to comment on it. So, I’m a bit miffed if you start out with this kind of ‘mantra’!

    Hi Enrique,
    With respect to MT,
And today is a day of love and tragedy for me
And her spirit is with me, but she left her body on Tuesday night without a good bye and i been alone in the middle of black wind full of memory of her lights.
She is ready now for her big jouney, she is in joy but still worry because she could not see me in real and we both are very sorry.
She won a light ticket from heaven
But i have only a black ticket oh men
They wont accept my ticket, angels are clever
I cant see angels they are very rare
Never wished for black ticket but angry wind sent it to me with hate and a bad singer
Mom held me in her stomatch oh for 9 months so
Was a small paradise why i left there oh no
I cant believe me AH sigh my big mistake
I lost my safety and world is a big cake
Word has no comfort and love i want my mom
There is no joy but hard work i cant keep calm
No/one told me that one day momy will jump
Am wondering how so fast she jumped and gone
Now she is ready for her big, big big journeys
Angels are kind, nice to her am no worries
She came to me in Finland with her angels
She could not wait for VISA more than this years

I do not remember the explanation leaved anything to comment about, it was just a statement if I recall. But point taken – I do not pressure more on this matter.
